Commack High School Girls Varsity Soccer vs. William Floyd - Senior Day
Senior day is always fun to photograph. This gallery is pretty large, not only because we have a lot of seniors, but also because we had a lot of athletes play that I hadn’t photographed before.
I usually have my white balance set to “Cloudy” becuase my camera’s white balance runs a bit cool for my taste. Even so, now that the days are getting shorter, the white balance has to be adjusted in post especially for the shots at the end of the game where the sun is fading. Rather than adjust the white balance based on skin tones I actually find it easier to adjust it based on the color of the green turf. Since our turf is artificial it should look green all the time. If it looks blueish you know your white balance is a little cool and needs to be warmed up.
