Commack High School Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Copiague

Another win for the Commack girls basketball team, this one against Copiague.

If you’re interested in tips on photographing basketball check out the post for the boys game a few days ago. One thing different about girls basketball is that many girls shoot with both hands. This means that positioning yourself on the right side of the basket so the shooter’s arm doesn’t block her face, assuming she’s right-handed, may not buy you anything. The only thing you can do in this case is to move to the edge of the key on the side opposite where the ref is positioned. Hopefully you can get a photo of the player facing directly at you so their arms don’t block their face.
