Commack High School Boys Varsity Track vs. Sachem East
Finally caught up with the Commack boys track team in their first home meet. Nice win over Sachem East.
I threw in a few motion blur photos in this gallery. I usually try to get these in the longer races when I have plenty of time to try something different. I’m shooting at 1/25 sec and panning as the runners go by the grandstand. I try to pick a spot with some color in the background so that will be blurred also. It’s not easy to do; you have to take a lot of shots to get the runner’s face relatively sharp and the rest of the image blurred, but it’s a cool effect when it works out.
