Commack High School Varsity Baseball vs. Massapequa - L. I. Championship
Commack's season ended with a loss to Massapequa in the Long Island Championship game but they ended their season as Suffolk County Champions, which is a great accomplishment. Congratulations to all the players and coaches! Went back to St. Joseph's College for this game. The big difference was a 7:00pm start. As you can see from the photos, it started in strong sunlight and ended in low stadium light. I ran through just about every ISO setting imaginable from 320 at the beginning to 12,800 at the end, trying to keep the shutter speed as high as possible. Naturally, this required constant exposure adjustment throughout the game. One thing nice about mirrorless cameras with electronic viewfinders is you can see the effects of the light in your viewfinder image, not just in the exposure scale. Near the end of the game I was thankful that both teams were wearing white uniforms. This was a great help to my camera's autofocus as the light got dim.
That's it for high school sports for this season. Have fun. I did.
