Caught the Commack gymnastics team in a meet with North Babylon on Wednesday. That’s always a lot of fun to photograph.
Congratulations to Commack’s boys varsity volleyball team on their win over Sachem East. They have a great run going.
Well, at least the weather was nice.
This was one of the best field hockey games I’ve photographed. Extremely well-played by both teams. Even went into an overtime period.
Was able to photograph both the boys and girls cross country teams on Thursday. That doesn’t happen often but the timing of each start allowed me to run back and forth in time to catch both teams. So … you’ll see both teams in this gallery.
Congratulations to the Commack girls tennis team on their win over Smithtown East. In case you’re wondering, these photos are in random order so if you’re looking for your photos they could be anywhere.
This was my second game of the day; photographed the boys soccer game in the morning, which I still need to post-process. The football shots came first due to a newspaper deadline.
Congratulations on Commack’s 4-0 win over Pat-Med in the Danny Mihnovich Memorial Game. This was one of two games I shot last Saturday, the other being the Senior Day football game with Brentwood.
An exciting double-overtime game that ended in a 1-1 tie. Seems like soccer is the only sport that has the weather on their side so far this year, at least for home games.
Congratulations to the Commack varsity football team on their 12-0 win over Sachem East. This one was played under cool, overcast skies, which was great for photos. That is, until it started raining, which it wasn’t supposed to do.
Well, this had to be one of the more intense games I've ever photographed. Both teams played really hard. Games like this make it a lot easier to get great photos. Congratulations to Commack on their win.
Congratulations to the Commack girls soccer team on their win over Sachem North yesterday. Another hot one on the turf. Went through two water bottles for this one. All games cancelled again for today due to the heat advisory.
This hard-fought match between Commack and Hauppauge ended in a 2-2 tie. This was one of the hottest days on the turf that I can remember and it was played in the morning. At times I had to stand in the shade, not because I was hot but because my camera was hot.
Well, that was a short summer. Technically it's still going on since this game was played before Labor Day. This was my first sports shoot in a while and the first of the Commack fall sports season.
Had a great time photographing the Parking Lot Party at the Lark Pub in East Northport. The proceeds of the party went to benefit the families of Master Sgt. Chris Raguso, a Commack resident and firefighter, and Staff Sgt. Dashan Briggs of Port Jefferson Station, members of the New York Air National Guard, who died in a helicopter crash while traveling near Qaim in the Anbar Province of Iraq in March.
The dinner dance for Encore, Commack High School's music booster club, is always a fun event to photograph. This year the kids were really into it right from the start and that made my job a lot easier.
Spent an hour or so photographing "Tennis with the Teachers" a really fun and worthwhile breast cancer fundraiser held by the Commack High School boys tennis team.
Final concert of the year, this time the 11th and 12 graders, and another excellent one. Gotta love the chorale's rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Commack softball's season came to an end with this game against Hills West but they had another great season.
